Hi, HR Pros! 🙌 This Labor Day, let’s recognize the work behind the work. The ones that rarely get a spotlight—but keep our workforces going.
◉ THE HR SPOTLIGHT
Honoring The Quiet Work That Moves Us Forward

Labor Day gives us a moment to pause and appreciate the people whose efforts keep everyone thriving at work—especially the contributions that happen quietly, behind the scenes, and without much recognition. For HR, here’s how we can show we value the hard work in every role:
Name the unseen effort. Acknowledge the mentoring, problem-solving, emotional support, and extra coordination that often go unnoticed.
Say thank you specifically. Instead of a general “good job,” mention exactly what someone did and the difference it made.
Share the recognition. When celebrating a result, recognize the people who helped make it happen—even if they weren’t in the spotlight.
Make room for their voice. Ask, “What’s something you’ve been doing that others may not see?” Then listen.
Noticing work builds morale, but appreciating it builds belonging.
HR pros, thank you for your efforts as people leaders who make recognition part of how work gets done. 💙
